<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>MIAMI -- Antoine Walker invited Paul Pierce to American Airlines Arena for the first round of the 2006 playoffs, following through on an offer he made during some regular-season trash talk. But the Heat's run to the NBA Finals has left Walker little time to talk to his friend and former teammate. It has been about two weeks since they last spoke, and Walker doesn't expect Pierce in town for Games 4 or 5. Walker, however, will certainly have plenty to tell Pierce once his offseason begins.Article ToolsAnd talking about what it is like to participate in the Finals might give Pierce some pause about his future. Walker figures that is only natural. When asked what advice he might give Pierce, Walker said, ``It's hard to say. He's already made a lot of money, but he has an opportunity now to sign an extension. He has to sit down with Danny [ Ainge] and the owners and really see where they want to go, if he wants to be part of a rebuilding process. If he wants to get to this level [and play for a title], he may have to move on. I don't know if he can be that patient.</div>http://www.boston.com/sports/basketball/ce...ave_to_move_on/

All these rumors with Paul going around aren't looking great for the Celtics as a franchise. If there going to trade him they have plenty of time, they have next season until the trade deadline and this off-season. I don't know where Paul will land next season but some of the quotes I've heard from him lately are indicating hes gonna be gone, check this one out. "But I mean in the longrun, it might be something I could have to consider."

I don't think there's enough room in Miami...

I don't think it's saying that Pierce will be traded to the Heat, we have Wade at the two and it doesn't make much sense for Antoine to be talking to him about a trade which will get him benched over Paul. Who knows, he might just sign that contract extension after all.

Nah. I posted this in the Celtics forum and I don't think he's necessarily trying to bring him to Miami. He's just trying to get the point across that maybe Paul isn't going to win here. Maybe it's time to move on.But at the same time, Paul Pierce was asked either today or yesterday about what he would do with the pick. And the only thing he said was that he would try and shop it and use it to try and land Garnett or Jermaine. So maybe he knows about a move Danny Ainge has planned that we don't?

Peirce wouldnt fit in Miami, we already have Wade and Shaq, not to mention Walker, Posey, J-Will, Mourning, Payton, and Haslem who can all start and score. If something like this happened, the Heat wouldnt have enough space to put Peirce unless if they moved Wade back to PG and made the HOFer Gary Payton a 3rd string. Also it would be kinda stupid for the Celtics cuz they are rebuilding, they seek youth and picks that the Heat don't have

Guys, Walker is doing nothing and has said nothing about bringing Paul to Miami. All he is saying is that he doesn't think Paul will win in Boston (and that probably is true). All he is doing is giving his friend advice to move on and get a chance to play for a contender rather than "wasting his prime" here in Boston.

That article says nothing about Walker trying to bring him to Miami, he was just trying to be a good friend inviting him to watch him play, but it definitely is another sign Pierce's days in Boston may be coming to an end.

Kobe is so good though I think he willed his way to the playoffs. Sometimes the team was down in the 4th they just screwed the triangle and went to Kobe mode and ended up winning.

Its quite a perdicament for Paul. He had a great season, perhaps being his best season of his career and his team still didnt make the playoffs. Sure they had alot of injuries but you would have to think that Paul is getting frustrated. The celtics are going to want to lock him up for a long time and i think that might scare him because with the celtics roster, nothing is promised. They have alot of young talent but nobody knows if that talent will turn in to winning ball games. I think that the large contract in years wise that the celtics are going to want and demand from pierce is going to scare him off in to signing with another team.

No. He loves playing in Boston, and he would rather get help here and retire a Celtic. But if that can't happen, there is 1 more year left on his contract and I could see him somewhere else (sadly).

I don't think there would be enough touches to go around in Miami if Paul went there, and I don't think they have enough to offer the Celtics for him.

Umm I don't think Peirce will end up in Miami wow that be crazy to have Wade, Peirce, and Shaq starting. And I don't think KG will be going to Boston I mean what would they trade to Minny to have KG come play with Peirce? I don't think they have enough just like the Sixers don't have enough to get KG. Chicago of course has many pieces to trade for KG they would probably have the best chance at landing KG. But I really think there is a good chance AI might be going to play with KG in Minny. It be something like........Rickey Davis, Hassell, Griffen, and there 6th pick for Allen Iverson.WOW it will suck once my Sixers trade AI. Arg our stupid gm, and owner in Philly suck. lol
