I've liked him for awhile. Bottom line: He's a pretty good point guard ... certainly flawed and not "elite" nor probably on his way toward being a top 10 guy at his position, but he's young and above average; which pretty much trumps what we've got.
he was a square peg in a round hole in Minnys triangle, makes me wonder how much Flynn is being hobbled by that offense as well, Sessions reminds me of a young Dre, can take it to the rack but the 3 pt shot is bad, is Sessions mid range jumper better than Dre's - what's his range? add on: according to Hoopshype Flynn is being shopped by Minny - he's been awful - would a change of scenery help?
In general, the triangle doesn't require a good PG. Da Bulls didn't have one, LA didn't have one when they were winning. So it's hard to really see how good a PG can be in an offense like that. Maybe we should get Sessions if it can be done cheaply and see how he does.
That's what I've been thinking for a while now. I'd love to get Flynn in a "buy low" scenario. I think the kid has a lot of talent and could thrive on another team... if not, what's the cost? Probably not very much.
No one ever mentions Antawn Jamison....a few years back he was an all-star. I think you could run LA at center and AJ at PF. And like all of Cleveland's roster, he's got to be available.
I'd like Jamison on this team more than any backup 4 we currently have. He's played that role quite well in the past in Dallas. His defense isn't great, but it's not like Cunningham is a world beater. ' I guess we'd have to give up Przybilla's contract to get him, which is ok. Aldridge can definitely play some 5, and there's still Oden and Camby. Session....is ok I guess. When you've played on 3 different teams and you've only been in the league 4 years, that's kind of a big red flag. Flynn intrigues me more. I like buying low, and it's harder to go lower than a 7.2 PER.
No he doesn't, he's .412% EFG on jumpers, and can't hit a three to save his life. And stop comparing a midrange shot to a three point shot. Andre can't space the floor, and neither can Sessions.
When did I compare a mid range shot to a three point shot? All you said was jump shot. When I watch the games, I see that Andre is the only player who can consistently get himself a good look at a jump shot.
The only person who cares is Roy - and he no longer gets a vote. The relevant question now, is how good Sessions is at feeding the post. ie does he fit with LMA?
