    I know Brian Wheeler is a huge Dodgers and Vin Scully fan so maybe he had something to do with it.

    does anyone even carry the mariners anymore? i realize they have sucked lately but i don't get how the dodgers get carried and not the m's. vin scully is great but this just doesn't make sense to me either.

    1080 The Fan carries the Mariners. I don't mind listening to Vin Scully. Although I'm not a Dodgers fan I think I'll listen to Scully from time to time.

    I dont get this move at all. They brag all the time about how they are Portlands only "local" sports station... then they go and sign on with the Dodgers? Dumb move. I think they'd make more $$ selling advertising in local talk then they would giving up advertising time for a team that nobody in Portland cares about.

    This is the exact reason I stopped listening to TheFan! I could give a fuck about baseball, especially baseball from another city! What a joke. Today on the plane I blamed Wheelz for this because he is a Dodger fan and he said he had nothing to do with it. Said they will do about 80 games...... that's 80 too many FAMS!

    Not all M's games are broadcasted on 1080. They play on 750 if the game interferes with Primetime. That was a great move by the station. Fuck the Dodgers. I don't get this move at all. If 95.5 preempts Lund or Conzano for a Dodgers game they're insane.

    Depending on how the contract is written, it could definately pre-empt local programming, especially during the NBA playoffs, which is beyond retarded.
