Looking at the box score, you wouldn't think Brewer and especially Asik played a great game, or that Boozer was awful.

I agree. I thought asik and brewer played well!

Boozer and Deng did not, especially Boozer.

Asik did have more rebounds in 15 minutes (7) than Boozer had in thirty-three (6). And the rebounding differential was the only way the Jazz made this as close as it was. I understand why Thibodeau is still reticent to play Asik though. Sloan ran those little backdoor lobs that Aldridge was successful with two nights ago and it got Al Jefferson two buckets in the fourth, if memory serves. Asik doesn't know how to look for those yet. The NBA is tough. If one team stumbles upon a player weakness it will be exploited each and every night until that player figures out how to correct for it. It's not a huge deal -- you know the coaching staff will sit down with Asik and train him to look for it before this trip is over.

As far as Boozer begin bad, even when he's bad, and he was, he's still better than any power forward this team has had since Elton Brand left. Korver has had a great stretch of games and I wouldn't mind seeing him get more minutes. Otherwise, a win is a win is a win. The Jazz announcers were talking up Rose's defense on Williams the entire night. You wonder if that will get play in the national media -- it's certainly not as juicy as criticizing him for Andre Miller's performance.

Rick Bucher with the Tweets of the night:

@RicBucher Omer Asik is doing work right now. Have no idea what his stat line is, but he's beasting Utah's frontline.

@RicBucher Could it be he looked around the floor at the abundance of white Euros and said, "Oh, I *got* this."

Looking at the box score, the Bulls shot .398, Thomas had 8 points and 4 boards in 33 minutes, Deng had 8 points on 4-12 shooting, and Rose is playing like he did early in the season with 29 points on 26 shots.

Their starters destroyed ours 81-66. The only guys on their bench who scored were CJ Miles with just 4 points and Gordon Hayward with 1. We had 3 bench players who each outscored their entire bench.

They made 11 of 21 FTs, which is terrible (Asik like FT shooting as a team), otherwise we'd have lost.

But a win is a win.

For those who just look at the box score, they'll need to look harder than usual to figure out how the Bulls won...combination of FTM, bench scoring and turnover differentials.

I see it as a character win...they needed it and they got it. DRose is just somethin' else.

    Well ya, Carlos is.

They did that. Said Rose was giving Deron fits. Too quick for him.

That being said, some bulls fans didnt see it that way. Said was able to pick n roll anytime he wanted. In fact at one realgm one Bulls fans actually said it was clear by this game that Williams is a much better point guard than Rose. hmmm....

I thought the same thing after the game, well actually down the stretch. If the Jazz his just 6 more fts, they win.

However, I loved the steals at the end by the bulls! Sealed the win.

It was! And Rose willed us to victory along with some timely steals by Brewer.

I thought Boozer did a good job impersonating Stacy King's game. Blocked, blocked, blocked again....:)
