given LMA is locked up for 4 more years after this it wouldn't surprise me if at least some GM's would consider him to be worth more in trade than deron right now. since deron isn't signed long-term, IF they decide to shop him the bidding probably isn't going to involve similar-level superstars. we could likely make a competetive offer without including LMA. it still wouldn't be worth it (would rather keep batum, rudy, oden, matthews etc), but we could do it if we wanted to.
Actually I look at the fact that Derek Rose plays more like a SG, and Deron Williams is a big PG, as a pefect fit.
rose is a score first PG who dominates the ball and always will (as he should). deron's skills would be largely wasted in chicago.
