Both are gone now and didn't contribute at all to the team. Vince Carter is a freaking all star. You gotta heckle them for SOMETHING in return. Even a role player. Somebody.btw I dont count Alonzo Mourning in the trade because he never played a game for us...yeah, that brings me to another bonehead mistake by Raptors management. Why not trade him, or suspend him without pay until he reported instead of doing the wim*y move of buying out the contract. One of the bad things about Babcock was that the man had no balls at all.</div>ya that gets my vote, VC for below par players, and a draft pick... but they got rid of Aaron and Eric rarely did anything productive, i cant believe Babcock didnt try out his options, instead of just taking on the first offer that came :thumbdn1: I personally think he was one of the worst GMs in the NBA... Almost every year he got us some crap player in the draft.. i dont remember if he drafted VC or Tmac but i know he got us Chris Jefferies(No Name) he also aquired great people like Yogi Stewert and Michael Bradly  dont forget me Matt Bonner... Great job picking Bosh, you picked a winner but we had like the fourth pick... thats how i feel about being a Raptor fan under an idiot GM... so when Vince left i felt part of me should aswell

Charlotte was getting their starting Center for some skinny 17 year old. Milwakee was getting a man in the middle for a softy from Europe.

If they hadn't made that trade, then Lamar would still have to play Power Forward, and as versitale a player as he is, he was getting MURDERED on defense in 04/05 playing in the post. Kwame provided that big man they needed, and Lamar definitely filled in at Small Forward for Caron.

^actually I think we traded with Detroit for the number two pick, which we would of picked Darko because we badly needed a center. So I don't think it was lopsided. Detroit receives Memphis' first-round pick in 2003 (top 1 protected), or 2004 (no protection). (Thorpe trade 080797)I am actually happy we did that trade for whatever the hell we got, I wouldn't want Darko, and that would of been our ball in there, so Cleveland would of gotten Lebron either way. But if we could of gotten Lebron, I blame Vancouver for their horrible, stupid, retarted, crappy, I have 100 more insults to them management :boxin:

Lamar Odom, Caron Butler, Brian Grant, 1st Round pick for Shaq. To this day they ended up with Odom, Farmar, and Kwame from the results of that trade. Thanks again for the title LA.

Yeah, but it doesnt matter. We arent talking about what the trade looked like when it happened, we're talking about the trades that we look back on now and know that turned out to be lob-sided.I think the Grant Hill for Ben Wallace and Chucky Atkins one is interesting, because when it first happened Ben Wallace was basically a nobody and Grant Hill was one of the best stars in the League, so it looked to be favouring Orlando by a ton when the deal was dealt, but then Grant never was healthy again, and Ben Wallace went on to win 4 straight DPOY awards, anchor the Pistons defense, become famous, and win the Pistons a title and lead them on the defensive end to 3 straight awesome years. And Grant Hill is now costing Orlando money even though he is injured most of the time. So when we look back on it, it is actually favouring the other side, when people thought it was a landslide for Orlando. I think that is sort of funny.

They had no inside presence whatsoever and if Hill had been healthy McGrady might not have played as well as he did.

Bostons fault
