Finish the problem.... Finish the problem.... Finish the problem.... Finish the problem.... Finish the problem.... Finish the problem....
I use basketball-reference streak finder, but it's inefficient for this. With the minimum total at 108, there could be a streak I didn't check for of (less than 30, less than 44, third game). Using that as a template, there are 20 permutations for which to search. exact..exact..minimum 29 43 36 29 42 37 29 41 38 29 40 39 28 43 37 28 42 38 28 41 39 28 40 40 27 43 38 27 42 39 27 41 40 26 43 39 26 42 40 26 41 41 25 43 40 25 42 41 24 43 41 24 42 42 23 43 42 22 43 43
Sorry, I just now checked the board. Because those are the remaining games I haven't checked. I did the easy part, walked away, but drew back to doing the hard part too. I did a quick fairly complete job, and found maybe 95% of them, but then my perfectionist side got interested, so I'm doing the rest. I just found this close call. 107 Clyde Drexler...Feb. 23-26 1988...29, 36, 42
Done and I won't bother anyone any more (about this only, don't get your hopes up). There aren't any more to list if the minimum total is 107. My remaining method was to look for a 2-game streak, between 35 and 43 points. I saw anecdotal 101s and 104s but didn't look systematically for all of those, so didn't put the randomly-found ones on the list.
Now factor in pace... Given how slowly we play, Aldridge's stretch of play is even more impressive, even if our pace may be up a bit from the beginning of the season.
