How do we copmare this? While Chris Paul is the man in New Orleans, getting the ball every trip and in control of everything, Dwight is still at a point where he rarely gets the ball. Most of what you guys are saying about him is related to potential, something we really can't know for awhile. From what we do know now, Chris Paul changes games more than Dwight Howard, and is already a Top 5 NBA Point Guard (Possibly)Paul

Now, look at Dwight Howard's numbers and his skill set now and that is for a guy that i dont think is involved near as much in the offense as Chris Paul. When it comes down to it, big men are the people that truly dominate the league.EX: Dwayne Wade was clearly the best player in the finals this year, yet we ALL know that would not have been possible if the Diesel was there. Big men are just important...

But you can also say, without Dwyane Wade there, the Heat wouldn't have had a chance. And i would say Shaq is a much more dominating force than Dwight Howard now.

In terms of here and now, I'd say Chris Paul. The kid is absolutely amazing, and is the next JKidd/Nash. But Dwight has bigger upside due to his size and amazing athletic ability. If I were to build a team around one, I'd pick Chris Paul, because I have seen extremely athletic big man never amount to much in the NBA before, and wouldn't take the chance.

Dwight Howard, because great big men are now a rarity in the League. And when you find one, they are cherished. You can always find a borderline all star guard through free agency or the draft.
