Conspiracy Theory: The NBA Trying to Make the Series Hyped?Let's face it. The ref calling in the first two games of the series was just okay. Didn't swing either way. However, Game 2 was a disgrace to the NBA with a somewhat respectable final score.However, some things have recently started to get messed-up.If you look at Game 3, the referees didn't call the same even game, but most importantly, the NBA employees let a few valuable second tick off from the clock in the final minute (article: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJCOSPdA7jc...%20mavericks)...Now how did this happen? It was VERY noticable...Now look at Game 4. Stackhouse hits Shaq for an OBVIOUS flagrant 1, but there's more to it? Oh no...Stackhouse gets his nose bloody in Game 1, the Mavs are pushed around a lot, and nothing too excessive by Stackhouse... and a SUSPENSION? Gimme a break...David Mbenga was suspended 6 games. They did this so Dallas would be limited to hacking a Shaq...Terry for one game in Game 5. It was just an average punch...

It makes sense Im not saying it doesnt, but I as a true Basketball fan I do not believe it and I do not want to think about it. I am better off thinking that everything is fair and square when really sadly it isnt. If you really went through and saw corruption all the way through, some of the very ideas of government and law would seem messed up. Im better off not thinking about it.
Being a Mavs fan, but that's a pretty homer statement right there. I agree some calls are not going our way, but we need to play through them, and you can't even use refs for last game. It was a blowout, that's our own damn fault. And what effect does that second have in us losing the game? Does that second prevent Gary Payton from hitting his only shot of the night from going in? The only thing I agree with you, was this complete bs in the Stack suspension considering the amount of contact seen in the series so far. Both stupid suspensions but were enforced by their rules. Any closed fist thrown results in a suspension, that was entirely Terry's fault. He even apologized and said it was his fault. But I don't get why you thrown this in when we won the series anyways. On Benga's, stupid as well, no way Stern suspends a third string center because of a possible Finals meeting with the Heat. Neither series was over and neither series was a lock.I call for a close and deletion of this topic, this series is far from over and Waqas is acting like because Mavs lost 2 in a row, Stern has contrived some conspiracy in extending the series. It's one of the dumbest threads I've seen, and possibly his indenial that Dirk has played like sh*t the whole series. Game 3, if Dirk stepped in anyway in the final quarter, we would have won the game.
Blaming the referee's is weak and i'm sick of NBA fans being little nansy pansies whenever a call doesn't go they're way. Referee's are not robots, they make mistakes, i'm suprised they do as good of a job as they do. The Mavericks deserved to lose because they were outplayed and outhustled.

How can you even say that the NBA has a conspiracy theory agaisnt Dallas? If that was the case, I guarantee you that they would not be in the NBA finals. Jason Terry was suspended because he openly punched somebody and thats in the rulebooks. You punch somebody, you get suspended. I know that you watched every game of the dallas/san antonio playoff series, and since you did, you would agree with me that when the mavs were playing at home, they got more calls, and the same for the spurs. it is going to even out in the end. i have an idea, tell dallas to stop ruining their chances by making dump plays.

Yeah but Waqas isnt the first person who ive seen blame the mavs loss on the refs. thats what makes me mad. it was waqas whole conspiracy theory that just topped the cake for me and pissed me off.
I'm not saying EVERY call was the ref's fault, but the Mavs took a load of hits.The one I remember the most was Wade knocking Nowitzki down after launching a 3.Also, the other conspiracy stuff was there just because... I needed stuff to conspiracize...but my main point is that the NBA is inconsistent.
If the NBA was set up, you really think the finals series would be Miami vs. Dallas? It would be Miami LA easily. The rating would be ridiculous, or maybe Phoenix since they're so entertaining.

I agree with the conspiracy but not that it is against Dallas. It is more for Miami. Shaq has always gotten the benefit of calls ever since his days with the Lakers. Now that Wade is here he is getting the benefit of the calls even though he travels almost every play to get a step on his player. Also you can't touch Wade without a foul while Haslem hacks away on Dirk and the refs are allowing that.

Dallas is victim of the Miami pro media and refs. Anyone denying that doesn't exist is a fool. The first 2 games were in Dallas so maybe that played the part of Dallas being up 2-0. It wasn't until they went to Miami and than the refs got terrible.
