LaMarcus is leading his team to the playoffs and Love isnt, correct?

I'm confused, the Wolves can't win 40 games with a Superstar, so this means what exactly?

An All Star caliber player should at least be able to lead his team to a solid respectable record. Love is leading his Twolves towards a lottery pick. Way to go Kevin! That a boy! Love wouldnt have nearly the #'s he does if he was on a decent team. He'd be a roll player on a good team. Your a fool if you think you can argue against that.

What is a "solid respectable record" according to BeerBoy?

    .500 or above. You?
13-41 isnt close to respectable. Aldridge would probably average 35 and 15 on that pathetic squad.

And so your official position, is that if one is not at .500 or above, they're not "all-star caliber". Do I have that correct?

By the way, lol at 35 and 15 dude. Get some more realistic numbers. He's not THAT efficient compared to other All-Stars (very good maybe great scorer, not historic which is what you need for 35). You also can't inflate rebounds, ask Randolph now on a solid team.

Lol seriously, Aldridge would put up ridiculous numbers if he played for the Wolves.

What kind of numbers are you referring to? Since only two players in the past three decades have averaged 20/15.

He wouldn't put up 35/15 but I could see him being like a 28/11 player in Love's role.

That's a good guess for January and February, he's been around that tier adjusting for pace.

Who the fuck cares about the all-star game? It isn't the honor it once was since it went to a corporate love fest.

If Brandon Roy were a Laker, he'd get the Magic Johnson treatment. They snubbed him, and he should show up, walk onto the floor all pissed off, take names and kick ass.

    Oh yeah...

Meanwhile, Aldridge walks through the stands, grabs all the coaches who didn't vote for him, and..I see Hulk Hogan and Jesse Ventura coming forward to help!

I'm popping open a fizzy one..this is good...

Mostly because you brought up the Chicago Bulls team of 87, and Charles Oakley (for whatever reason), thinking it was a good comparison to Love and Aldridge.
You're right, he isn't. And people are saying that historically, few representatives from horrific teams make the ASG, even in the event of really good stats.

One was the NBA MVP on a team the won the NBA title and won 65 games.

The other is on a team that is 13-41, and the coaches thought his stats were so impressive that they didn't vote him into the All-Star game.

If David Stern wasn't praying for a white American 'superstar', Zach Randolph or LMA, who you both have to gameplan for, were more worthy, and I'm positive the players around the league feel the same.

I hope Love enjoys the All-Star game that he doesn't deserve.

Aldridge is getting more recognition for not making the all star game and has continued playing like an animal after the announcement of Griffin then Love.

So Aldridge gets his recognition (and respect from the refs these days, IMO) and is still playing like he has something to prove.

and he gets a physical and mental break from the grind enjoying almost a week off... win win for Blazer fans who care more about things like the playoffs. With or without LA involved, I wouldn't be watching the AS game. I haven't watched the last 3 with Roy either, but I could count the Blazer games I've missed over the same span on one hand

I watched Roy's first game... that's about it. I find the entire weekend to be very boring.
