    We're number 6!
    We're number 6!

If the team gets a win against the Hornets, they will be one win out of #5. The Blazers would be even with the Hornets in the loss column.

Screw blowing it up. Get Marcus and Brandon back and go to frick'n war!

    Go Blazers

Edit: I didn't realize the the Bugs play another game before they get to Portland. Oh, Well....
    We're number 6!

It would be nice to be at the #6 or #8 slot. I don't think I want to see the Lakers in our house.

According to one of your posters, your season was over awhile ago! Wow...what a long NBA season it is.

You guys are playing some good ball and watching LMA dominate has been fun. Keep it up guys...

I don't know why, but when I read the title to this thread I had an image of a guy running out into the street shouting "we're number 6!" over and over again.

I can honestly say that I don't have a feel for it one way or another. I'm leaning slightly towards "yes," but I want to see what happens at the trade deadline.

Seriously? The Blazers have played 4 more road games than the Jazz and 3 more than the Nuggets. The Jazz are a mess and didn't even get the expected post-Sloan boost in play. The Nuggets are playing poorly and are likely to lose Carmelo. The Blazers have been playing pretty well, have moved into a tie for 6th seed and are going to get two good players back which will boost their anemic second unit. It seems to me that unless Cho pulls a major rebuild move that dumps Miller and Camby, it takes a whole lot of negative attitude to predict the Blazers don't make the playoffs.

Our schedule gets pretty tough in March and April. Getting Roy back will probably lead to an udjustment period as well. Cautiously optimistic is best served here

If the plan was to insert Roy back into the starting lineup, I could see there being a major adjustment. However, I would think that Nate is planning on bringing Roy off the bench for the foreseeable future both in order to save on his knees by minimizing his minutes and to avoid a major disturbance in what the first unit is doing. I don't see how having him with the second unit, probably in a 3 guard lineup with Patty and Rudy, does anything but improve what we've been seeing lately.

I've heard several people suggest that Roy might come back as our backup PG. That could definitely be...interesting.

I'd think it would be more likely to use Patty to bring the ball up and guard the opposing PG and then use Roy to set the play. I guess we'll see how it works out pretty soon.

This is exactly my train of thought ... but apparently I'm being wildly negative.

I agree with you. But if Roy is able to play, he will be there in the 4th, and that will take an adjustment period to get familiar with Roy's ISO vs the currents team ball movement. Both players and coaches.
