    Yay.

I love hotels. Sometimes when I am in Portland and we're going out we get a hotel...lets us drink as much as we can and pre and post party without worrying about driving home.

Hotels have their place when traveling. For example, when the wife and I did our honeymoon (we picked up her wedding gift and drove it around Northern Europe) we stayed in first class hotels (Grand Hotel in Oslo, Hotel D'angleterre in Copenhagen, Hotel Adlon in Berlin, etc.). It turned out to be a huge waste of money because we were never in our rooms other than to sleep.

Yeah, but I find that most hotels out of the country are pretty uncomfortable. The chain hotels like Marriot or Hyatt are so much better...the little mom and pops have way more character though and are fun within itself. I just hate the crappy linens and mattresses.

You jump at any chance to smother us with your worldly endeavors, don't you? I feel like I could write a 1,000 page novel about everything you've accomplished, owned, or experienced. Its really, kind of strange.

I love the free continental breakfasts, but realistically I never wake up early enough to get them.

I find your assumptions about my posts interesting. Were you bragging about posting in detail about your colon removal? I don't think so. It's just something that happened in your life. Were you bragging about your workouts? Again, I think you were just posting specifics to show the slope of your recovery. You're of course free to believe the detail in my posts comes from different motives.

I hope you're feeling better. I've related your story to my ex's sister with colitis and she's taking better care of herself.

I'm such a cheap SOB when I'm on vacation and breakfast is covered, I stuff myself so much that I'm not hungry until dinner.

I love Luxury Hotels if I'm not paying. I just find the service and the beds/amentities way better. Nice pool/jacuzzi, comfortable beds, and good room service.

If I'm paying I go for botique hotels..they usually have the swagger of the luxury hotels w/o as high a price. Kimpton hotels are great.

I don't know why, whenever I order room service, Buffalo wings are some of the best things on the menu.

Clean, comfortable but inexpensive room is usually what we get.

When we travel it's not for business, so we're out and about and the room is used for the bed and bathroom only.
