Exactly. I'm leaning toward trading Miller, just because I don't want to see us saddled with older players that we just never gave up on like how the Piston's are.

Portland is too small market for Kris Humphries.

    :)

Those old ass Spurs with pre-historic veterans like the 28 year old Tony Parker. Or the ancient 33 year old Ginobili. Duncan I guess you can say is old, he's the same age as Miller though. Not nearly what he used to be and its not even debateable.

    So yeah, not quite.

Miller and small change for Harris is okay, taking back TO is not, that contract is a big negative and with the new CBA looming is even more of a negative. I'd love to get Humphries and Harris, maybe Miller/Rudy/1st or Dante or Babbit for Harris and Humphries?

Why would Miller and small change be ok with NJ?

small change is a 1sr rdr for me given this draft, that's "reasonable" to be, maybe is not to them

I'm not sure I like this rumor. I love Outlaw the person, dont love Outlaw the basketball player. Rudy > Outlaw and Harris's only advantage over Miller is age. I'd prefer Cunningham at backup PF/SF over Outlaw. Another reason I dont want Outlaw is I dont want Nate tempted to play him and see Batum's minutes go down. With Miller's style of play, I think he'll be a good PG for 3-4 more seasons. Morrow? With Roy coming back, I dont want anyone that will take minutes away from Roy and Matthews.

No offense, but you seem to have an overly inflated opinion of Rudy's value. I mean, I don't deny that he's helped the team, and I might even concede that he's been our MVP in a couple of games, but to say that "there are VERY, VERY few players in the league that are more valuable,"--that seems to be a bit of a stretch.

To each his own, I guess.

If you were really "all powerful", you would be able to change it for him. I submit that you're not all powerful, or even semi-powerful. Why, you're no wizard--you're just a man!!

I would be ok with this trade if we get morrow with Harris instead of outlaw. I would have zero problem trading Rudy for a guy who can actually hit three's on a consistent basis.

I initially thought the same, but the problem with Morrow is that he does virtually nothing else but shoot. Rudy rebounds better, passes better, and--believe it or not--even plays better defense than Morrow (especially team defense). Morrow may be a better shooter--even historically good--but Rudy does more things overall that help the team win.

Kinda like that 27 year old Ben Gordon who is so over the hill, or a 31 year old Tayshaun Prince or god forbid a 33 year old Rip Hamilton. So... Ollllld.

    Detroit lacks talent, not youth.

I think the bet on Harris would be that a change of scenery would get him back on track. Also, that not having to be the first option would allow him to work harder on defense. With Dallas, he showed terrific on the ball defense skills.

I love 'Dre and will give him a standing O when he comes back to Portland, but I'd trade him for Harris in a heartbeat.

In all seriousness though, all NJ really wants is to get out from under Outlaw's contract, right? And is there anything else we really need here more than frontcourt depth? So, why not send Joel/Babbitt to bring back Humphries/Outlaw? Considering the number of expiring contracts out there right now, do we really expect to get much better for JPEC than that?

Humphries is the best player in that deal and he has a terrific contract. But taking on Travis' deal would be quite the price to pay to land someone that will likely be nothing more than a backup for us in Humpries.

As an aside, does Babbitt hold any value at all?
