Latest trade deadline rumors involving the Blazers Chris_Broussard Sources say ATL, Portland, NYK among the teams interested in Cavs' Ramon Sessions Patty Mills days numbered? I hope so.
That would definitely be an upgrade. Sessions can't play a lick of defense, but he is way better than Mills.
I don't see why Cleveland would part with Sessions. It's not like he's a bad contract. He's a much better PG option that Mo Williams is.
I still like Sessions. I'd be quite happy to acquire him. He had a bad season last year, but this season he's taken off again and built on his strong first two seasons. I do agree he's not a good defender, though. That's the only concern on my part.
Any chance of consolidating all of these trade rumor threads cluttering up the board into a "Trade Deadline" thread? Just my two cents... Oh, and Sessions would be one of my worst nightmares in some time. A poor man's version of Andre Miller, and also without the BBIQ.
Miller was a nightmare for you at one point and he's grown on you! I actually think Miller is a good comparison point for Sessions. I've generally felt like Sessions was a young version of Miller, sharing similar strengths and weaknesses. The only thing is, the young Sessions defends on the ball like the old Miller. Miller was a much better defender when he was young.
Sessions is probably Cleveland's second best player now behind Hickson. They can't afford to lose any more talent, especially when his contract isn't hurting them.
Sessions for something of no value would be great. he is a bad defender, and can't shoot a lick from 3. Younger less skilled version of Miller.
If he comes here I don't see him being a starter. I see him as being an upgrade to Mills. Do you not think he would be an upgrade to Mills? Top it off with the fact that I believe we have to use that trade exception this year or it is wasted, an upgrade to Mills for somethign we have to use anyhow is a no brainer if they pull it off. While they are at it they might inquire about Varejo to get the bench some hustle/rebounding.
