Re: Game #54, Bulls vs Spurs - Game Thread Derrick Rose finishes the game 18-28, 42 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists, 1 block and 1 steal. awesome
Re: Game #54, Bulls vs Spurs - Game Thread That was a great game by the bulls. When Noah gets back and they can start running again they will be an even tougher matchup.
Re: Game #54, Bulls vs Spurs - Game Thread That was a gorgeous game from the Bulls. The only worry is that they didn't win by more with how well they played. Career game for Rose who was flawless throughout. TNT gave the Bulls the bum announcing crew. I don't mind opposing teams' homer announcers but bring some damn energy. Tonight was an epic performance from both Rose and Parker. This was one of those great games that comes out of nowhere. I mean, Parker was killing it too. Could you luck yourself into a better game? When you're gifted that, you'd hope the announcers would at least try to equal the energy on the court. I think Asik was near flawless. His defensive rotations were perfect all night and he was rewarded with extra playing time. I started yelling at the tele when Thibodeau took him out in the fourth for Thomas, who instantly got lit up, before Gibson was brought in. I understand the move: Asik free throw shooting makes him a liability at the end of games, and the team is still reticent to pass to him when he's open which kills the offense. There's a thin line between avoiding situations where your players are likely to fail and lose confidence and not allowing them to surprise you, and you do wonder if this would have been one of those nights for Asik to build all kinds of confidence.
Re: Game #54, Bulls vs Spurs - Game Thread Fantastic win! Hard to believe really. But Rose has been improving so fast. He's morphing into a monster as we watch.
Re: Game #54, Bulls vs Spurs - Game Thread I'm beginning to think we may have something in this Rose kid...Yikes!! Also kudos to Deng, Gibson and Asik...and those of us who predicted 2 wins. Fun game to watch...great way to head into the break.
The Bulls are probably more dangerous than the Spurs (though they may be in the better conference). San Antonio just seems too old to me.
I cant wait to see a healthy Bulls squad. They look like they could give Miami a run for their money. I still dont think they can take the Celtics though.
