So assuming a trade does go down, I'm not sure how calling a player back up from d-league during the all-star break makes any difference? Presumably the Blazers could be trading Miller (or somebody else) with a point guard coming back and it's not like the Blazers can't trade Armon while he's with the Stampede.

Miller has too much value with his PER, leadership abilities, and saving us in the 4th this season. It would be stupid to trade him away for another player at this point of season.

I guess if you are only thinking about the remainder of this season that could be true, but if you are thinking long-term then trading him isn't stupid at all.

come on... acknowledge there is some stupidity in it. Pulling the plug on a season thats gone from depressing from all the devastating injuries to having the whole team clicking and kicking butt for some extra promise of tomorrow isn't some sure fire genius formula for success. Portland's young core has the real possibility of experiencing a playoff run which could prove to be an important building block of their long-term success. Hell, the fan base might enjoy winning a playoff series for the first time in over a decade too... is that stupid? I know you're not in this camp but many here think if Greg's good to go next year as expected, this club with Miller as it's starting PG is a contender for next year's title. If he is good to go and they've got some not ready for prime time player running the show at PG, it could be a lost opportunity to win it all... wouldn't that be kind of stupid?

I'd only support moving Miller this year if it's a pretty obvious/big time talent they're getting back... and I don't think thats very likely. Do you have any team in mind that is coveting Andre to the point they're going to give up something of real value for Portland's future?

    It's odd timing for sure.

It could also be that the coaches realize other teams decided to scout Patty, and he is becoming more useless every game?
