Votto, after all, led the National League in on-base percentage (.424) and slugging percentage (.600). He hit .324 with 37 home runs and 113 RBI. He won the MVP award. But he thinks he can get better. It's not just a case of Votto setting impossibly high standards for himself, although he is driven. "I keep it in perspective," he said. "I think I'm realistic. I've told you guys in the past I genuinely believe I can do better. I have, so I still feel I can."
