Hell no, we ride that pick to the very end - I'd rather it end in flames and carnage then get off early and watch it explode elsewhere.
Either I misheard it on the radio but I thought they said Oden was somehow involved in this deal to Nets.... I know i heard Odens name with this though..
Miller for Harris is a Paul Allen type of deal, spend more money in order to improve in other aspects (Harris being younger). I wouldn't trade Joel for Murphy, Joel is an important player for us, but I would consider it if it means getting Harris, also because I think Murphy Could help us if used right. Babbitt and Marks, as some posters noted, should be added to make the deal work financially and I'm guessing the disagreement right now is that Portland wants a draft pick for adding Babitt (we should probably Give them a draft pick for taking Marks...) and the Nets are reluctant to do so. Babbitt could actualy get some minutes there, Travis Outlaw is the biggest name they've got at SF.
Quick mentioned that a salary filler with about Oden's salary would be needed to make it work. But he was wrong. Only about ~$ 2.5 mil would be needed to make it work.
The Knicks keep Fields and get Chauncey and Melo! That means Chauncey, Fields, Melo and Amare. All they need is a decent Center and they could make some real damage!
Fuck grizz get nuggets with half team gone. We get nuggets and blazer killer Chandler in their debut.
Salaries don't match. http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=4vmyz7h That is, of course, unless we assume that Curry's contract is involved too.
This trade is good news it makes our trade with NJ the best one available with Mozgov off the board right?
Supposedly the Nuggets are going to send them on to the Nets for first round picks. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/basketball/nba/02/21/carmelo.trade/index.html
Think we could possibly try to trade for Felton and by giving some cap relief to the nuggets? You know they have to rebuild now
Something tells me that Cho isn't fully empowered to make deals with New Jersey and that PA will kibosh any trade that is actually fair to the Nyets, seeking as usual to low-ball some team instead of making a fair market offer. I think it's pretty likely that when the dust settles Dallas is going to get Harris, and the Blazers are going to be left with their cocks in their hands.
