    The Carmelo Anthony trade saga is finally over.

    The Nuggets traded Melo to the New York Knicks tonight, a league source said. Denver gets Wilson Chandler, Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, Timofey Mozgov, the Knicks 2014 first-round draft pick, the Warriors' 2012 second-round pick, the Warriors' 2013 second-round pick and $3 million in cash.

    Anthony will go to New York, along with Chauncey Billups, Shelden Williams, Anthony Carter and Renaldo Balkman.

    Anthony was not at the Nuggets' practice as the team resumed workouts following the All-Star break.

    I still don't see the Knicks on the level of Boston, Miami, and Chicago..but they're close. They're thin up front and not that great defensively with this lineup. But their offense should be explosive. I like Melo. I hate Amar'e.

    I'd agree if I thought Melo and Billups were that good. I still think there's no way in hell they make it out of the East.

    True enough. But I'll be honest, it's not the knicks I'm worried about it's the precedent of players dictating where they want to play. If this is the new landscape of the NBA then the Blazers are probably sccrewed along with every other small market team in the league. If we see Deron, Howard and/or Paul force their way to LA, Miami, Chicago or New York in the next two years it's going to be very hard to remain a fan of NBA basketball

    Melo and Amare are now far and away the highest paid, crappiest defensive frontcourt in the East.
