Amen. It's all about his ability to close on Harris from this point on.

just listened to the full vance interview that took place earlier today ON JOHN LUND SHOW (HR 3)

    - rudy may be holding up deal. nets want him... blazers not so much. nets first choice towards deal.

    - either want rudy or 1st rounder + miller

    - vance said the melo deal would be done by tuesday morning. that happened.

    - nets have sights set on portland for harris

    - harris either way is done in NJ. fallen out of favor with avery johnson.

    - no mention of murphy

its right at start of HOUR. 3 give a listen. http://www.955thegame.com/

Impossible. I've heard many people around here call Kenny Vance a "know nothing."

Small price to pay. We have two 1st rounders to deal with, so we aren't giving up much. For a 15/8 player that 28-years-old, you are fleecing the Nets.

Ya but they can get Felton without giving up Harris. Now they have 2 PG's and they move harris for some relief

Why? Miller has a nice expiring contract. Felton needs to be resigned after next season, doesn't he? If the Nets want Felton, they can get him in free agency with the money they clear by tradiing Harris for Miller, or trade for Felton using Miller's contract.

Felton is much more difficult to get for NJ at this point, IMO.

Well, then they need to include the Nuggets in the trade with Portland.

    Makes no sense.

Harris isn't young by any stretch of the imagination and has never played a full season in a 7 year "part-time gig" with 2 teams due to his brittle nature and continual injuries. He averages 58 games a year, which means we can probably bet the house that he'll go down with another injury sometime next month.

To trade an ironman with better skills who already runs the best offense this team has seen in years for a guy to look good in a suit next to Oden and Roy on the bench seems awfully lame unless your goal is a few years in the lottery.
