Who cares? Marks has barely played even with Camby out. If we get back anyone taller than 6'8" in a deal involving Camby, he will be better than Marks, so long as he's breathing.
Well, a few contenders usually have a young guy stashed away, but I'm wondering if Camby will actually retire if he's traded.
Please PA, veto all this. I know Cho is excited about rebuilding this club into his image and doesn't have any attachment to this particular roster. But some of us have sat through a very painful rebuilding process to get just to this point (consistent playoff team). Run with this fun bunch in the playoffs and make changes in the summer. No need to rebuild. Just retool in the off season.
Miller/Camby for Harris/Murphy works. I wonder if Camby would be waived so he could rejoin the Blazers in that scenario.
With Camby, he's a very good influence on the young players, socially and with experience. Keeping him is good for the long term.
Not likely given that Camby has another year on his contract. I don't think we should assume that Camby is necessarily a part of this particular trade, if in fact he is going to be dealt. More likely that he would go to a contending team.
Camby is one of the best players on the team when healthy. I don't think Cho would move him unless there's a deal that's going to significantly help this team going forward.
I don't think that Cho is going to worry about hanging onto Camby nor Miller... and he should not. This team is not talented enough to win anything significant this year, and it does not have enough depth and potential to win anything significant in the long run. He should move Miller, Camby and Joel for as much potential as he can. It will almost certainly hurt us this year, but it is the best way for the team to achieve contender status in the next couple of years. Ed O.
Why is it that every rumor involving the Nets (and this does involve the Nets) ends up being fed to a reporter associated with Yahoo? Who the heck is the blabbermouth in New Jersey leaking all of this information?
As I've stated multiple times, our best bet to be a contender is if Oden plays healthy and fulfills his potential. Camby helps Oden tremendously IMO, as well as others on the team. He's the wise veteran. Unless Camby gets us CP3 or Deron, its a waste of time to add him in a trade.
