Harris to Dallas does make sense, though. Isn't Kidd an expiring contract? Harris would be their starting PG next year.

I agree about why NJ would want to make that trade, though. Unless they are tanking for the #1 pick Sullinger.

I disagree about Vance. I think Vance and Eggers are the most respected and well-connected media guys in this sad market.

I've spent a bit of time around Vance, front office types and players like the guy. They trust him.

This is a reach, but anyone think we may wait to make a trade until after the Laker game? Maybe Nate and Cho want a full squad to take down the Lakers?

OK. Remember Vance is the guy that said a few weeks ago that his sources tell him Nate wont be back. Just keep that in mind.

Possibly so, but it seems like it'd make more sense to make a deal last night/this morning, and get the new guys here for the game tomorrow.

As for NJ wanting expiring contracts to clear space for new CBA, best way to do that would have been not signing Outlaw/Petro/Farmar/Morrow.

BTW, Carl Landry is just sitting at the end of the bench and hasn't played a second of this game in the first half against MIA. Twitterverse speculating a trade.

    I'd take him here please.

I think people are just leaving a lot of title winners out.

Try naming championship teams who did not draft a difference-maker.

Hows that a stretch? Its a good likelihood there will be some big time openings. Miami could be looking for a new coach depending on how far they go in the playoffs this year and it might be Phil's last go around. With a healthy Roy he'd probably stick around. But, there's a good possibility he has some real good options to weigh. And, believe it or not, but outside this board, Nate is a widely respected coach throughout the league. Especially with marquee players that he's coached with Team USA.

Vance has been so right in the past, his track record is spot on. He was the first to adamantly say that KP was history long before he was gone. I remember him being so adamant that he got in a verbal argument with Jay Allen on air and I thought Allen was going to cry.

Hate on Vance all you want. He's well connected and knows his shit.

It's probably time for me to leave for a while and eat some dinner, because I agree with everything you're posting tonight. I remember the Jay Allen confrontation. Kenny was the first in the media to also note Paul Allen snubbing KP at games. Of course, some of us on this board noticed it first, even before sites like BlazersEdge, but I give credit to Vance for researching what the snub meant via his numerous contacts in the NBA.

#Nets considering sending Devin Harris to Portland for Andre Miller or Dallas for Caron Butler's expiring contract, Dominique Jones and 1st.

I'm not hating on Vance. I loved him when he was on The Game. But he isnt "in the know" as much as some think he is. Time will tell.

Why wouldn't NJ do the Dallas deal instead? I know I would if I was a GM

Seriously? Can't we basically offer the same thing as them? Andre, Babbitt, 1st? Or is the FO not willing to give up Luke...?
