Last time ZBo was the #1 option on a team with good #2 options that team won 32 games (Rookie Roy was #2). This year's Blazers already have 32 wins with LMA as the #1 option. And people still wonder why the Blazers traded him...
STEIN_LINE_HQ Sacramento and New Orleans closing in on deal that would send Carl Landry to Hornets for Marcus Thornton and David Andersen
When he traded!....for....?! I mean when Jar...was... I mean... Wait, let me gather my thoughts again...
KP has made one significant trade in 4 years. LOL, keep clinging to that though. EDIT: Sorry, two. He traded Taurean Green for Von Wafer.
You should just stick to "gathering your thoughts". Lol at both of you for forgetting about Marcus Camby. You guys make it too easy to prove you wrong.
No one forgot about Marcus Camby, but when that's you're only significant trade in 4 years, you don't have much to build upon. You know what the best part of the KP era was? Being able to hear our names in rumors every deadline and then end up with nothing. Oh sorry, Turkoglu. Oops, I mean Miller.
It's never easy to win in Denver. He also traded Randy Foye for Brandon Roy. And Tyrus Thomas for LaMarcus Aldridge. Traded Jack for Bayless which became a pick that could be good. Traded for Rudy. Traded for Batum. The guy made a slew of great trades.
Marcus Camby is 37 years old and in the twilight of his career. Carl Landry is in his prime, so I'm going to ask again. When did KP trade spare parts for a really good player in his prime? Tick, tock, tick, tock ...
Is that a mental note for yourself? Can't even remember the Marcus Camby trade. lmao This forum bores me
1. It's widely debated whether or not he really was responsible for Roy and LMA. 2. All of those were draft day trades. So when exactly has he acquired a good young player during the season? There were definitely reports of deals (Wallace, Butler etc.) but nothing ever materialized.
I'd rather have Camby(who doesn't look done at all) than Landry. On a contending team Landry is a nice player off the bench. After scoring he provides no defense, block shots or even rebounds. He's a scoring PF and that's it. Camby is still one of the best rebounders in the NBA and is still good at blocking shots. His passing game with Aldridge is a big weapon. He looks like he can play at least another 2 years at a high level. He's a legitimate starter, Landry really isn't. Keep downplaying it, though.
