    For the cynical Bulls fan, seems like NY got played for as fools. Nets drove up the price for Melo. Knicks bit. Then the Nets got a good player for their own! Dont know if this had been in the works for a while. Quite frankly it had to be! You dont trade a player of Williams caliber on the spur of the moment!

    That certainly makes sense doesn't it? For what it's worth, I'd much rather have D. Will than Anthony. It looks like the Nets played their cards just right.

    Great move by the Nets... pretty iffy for the Jazz. They didn't even get under the luxury tax, and have a pretty big log-jam of bigs that I can't figure out how to make work worth a damn.

    p.s. Why the hell did the Nets sign all those role players to multi-year contracts? I'm so glad they have Farmer/Petro/Outlaw locked in for $14M for the next 2 off-seasons rather than having cap space.

    It does, but they're gonna have to figure out a reasonable way to get the Jazz under the LT. So far, I haven't figured out how that'd work.
