No. 1 reason Mavs wanted Devin Harris? You just saw it: Knew Utah liked him and hoped to put DH in future D-Will trade offer closer to draft

we just wanted harris. no long term vision at all.

Because Dirk Nowitzki is like a machine, producing year after year. Consistent players make up a consistent team. Inconsistent players make up middle of the road and bad teams.

They've lost in the first round 3 out of the last 4 years. The year they didn't they only reached the semi-finals.

This is such a typically stoopid thread that I'm not going to bite with any attempt to refute OP's statement. I'm going to take the same approach I do with my wife when it's painfully clear that she's wrong but (because she lives in the bizarro world) she somehow "knows" she's right: "you're right, Mixie - you're always right."

The information you present is everything. Intersting how you chose not to include the finals visit in your scope of information provided.

I don't think losing in the 1st round 3 out of the last 4 years is "always so good".

Yes, actually, I do. I just ate a shit load of seafood, chili and jalapenos - then washed it down with a jug of milk. My lactose intolerant ass is about to take a massive dump. I can't see a better time to get a DJ Mixie tshirt. Can you do some sort of mission-critical same day delivery service? I need it fast.

You make $2,000 every 4 hours. Why do you need to supplement your income selling tshirts?

Your time would be better spent consulting with MaxieP about how to invest your ridiculous wealth!

So, each season there is one champion and twenty-nine teams that are equally unsuccessful? Sorry, but that is a rather extreme argument.

Dirk is one of the most underrated players in the league. He's mostly written off cuz his 67 win team got bounced in the first round in 07 but he's still damn good. Won MVP that year. Led team to Finals in 06.

About as extreme as implying that it's Dallas's management prowess that keeps them good without acknowledging that a guy named Dirk may have a bit to do with it.

Dallas is always good because they have Dirk Nowitski. It's the same reason Cleveland was always good when they had LeBron James. Those players give the GM a specific direction around which to build, keep players in the fold and help recruit other talent.
