If Miller is going they'd have to have another pg trade lined up or Augustin in the bag as well. Surely they wouldn't start Patty for the rest of the season.
Kind of late to this breaking twitter news, but I'd be pretty happy with either major rumour: JEPC/pick/cash for Wallace or Miller/Camby for Augustin/Wallace/filler. The suspense is killing me. Why are teh twitterz silent??
Here's my second attempt (throw in a Blazers first rounder too) http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=4c2pd66
I had a thought... http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=4fh2hnm Wallace and Oden and POR's higher pick to Indy. Granger and Foster and Indy's Top 5 protected pick to POR Przy + our lower pick to CHA
I don't get why the Bobcats would trade Augustin? This whole rumor seems off to me. Hope Jaynes is happy.
90% of trades that dont involve the name melo are dead as soon as reported unless the deal is official. see deron williams. nobody saw that coming at all. look at landry deal. done as soon as posted. look at mavs/blazers with harris. speculation leads to dead.
At least this just confirms Jaynes is a hack. He knows nothing. He just pulled a "deal coming soon" moment.
Landry, Harris, Thornton, Murphy have all been talked about as likely movers this past week. All were moved. Not sure if Wallace will be moved, but your logic is.....wait for it......crap.
NBC CHANGES ORIGINAL POST.... NOW SAYING "LIKELY" INSTEAD OF "DONE DEAL" Gerald Wallace likely traded to Portland, Pryzbilla sent Charlotte Kurt Helin Feb 23, 2011, 3:51 PM EST 2 Comments UPDATE 3:51 pm: It looks like it is a done deal or very close — Gerald Wallace has been traded to the Portland Trail Blazers, according to a tweet from the well connected Dwight Jaynes. (No other confirmations, yet, but he is a good source.) And no, Nicolas Batum is not part of the package headed back to Charlotte. That makes this a win for Portland at first glance. The deal will send Joel Pryzbilla, some draft picks and cash and back to Charlotte. That’s it. The Bobcats had been working hard to save money and that seems to be what they get out of this deal. Not players that make them better. Portland, with Batum and Wallace at the two and three, could be one of the best defensive teams on the perimeter in the league. What’s kind of sad to think is that if they had the old, explosive Brandon Roy and a functional Greg Oden this team would be a serious playoff threat to the West elite.
