I don't think Greg has to be "great" to be the guy who pushes the Blazers into contention. With his size and quickness, just being a rebounding and shot-blocking force would be enough when he's playing next to a scorer like Aldridge has become.
It's sad how we've all had to lower the bar of expectations for Oden. He'll be lucky to have 5 productive years, IMO.
I wouldn't be sad at all if he gave us 5 years of being a legitimate contender. That's a helluva lot more than Walton did.
I wonder if it's GO telling us that he doesn't want to be here? That he'll sign the QO and then find another team. If so, he'd be worse than LeBron. At least Bron Bron played for the Cavs.
SpearsNBAYahoo Marc J. Spears POR has received "lots" of interest in injured C Greg Oden, but doesn't seem interested in moving him and his expiring contract, source says http://twitter.com/#!/SpearsNBAYahoo
+1 Assuming Paul would re-sign with Portland this year. If he was willing to play in Portland, he might, to avoid the risk of a new CBA might bring. He seemed interested in Portland back when Roy was a star. Dunno about now.
