Two equally skilled players, both players can do well in every statistical category, and each player is versatile and can play many positions. Who would you pick for your team? Discuss, I'll post my reasons later. :shifty2:
AK is the better player here. Lamar is too streaky, especially this season. Lamar is the better scorer but I think thats about it. AK better at everything else and is consistent with his play. As soon as Lamar proves that he can play well for an entire season as a Laker, then he will have my vote.
Lamar Odom because he plays point guard and distributes the ball more efficiently, odom has more range and hits 3s all the time, andre can too but not as well, odom is also better in the post,he has alot of different moves and rebounds the ball well,he has the opportunity and the ability to get a triple double every game, now the thing with Kirilenko is that he is injury prone and misses alot of games, but minus that he is better defensevly,he is more aggressive on defense and is one of the best shot blockers in the league, but overall i pick odom and not just because i am a lakers fan lol

AK is also a better rebounder and for getting a triple double every game, alot of players have the opportunity to get one but they all don't get triple doubles very constantly. Odom one of the best shot blockers in the league...

Last season he had a serious injury and was gone for half of the season but the previous 3 seasons he missed a combined total of 6 games. If Odom wasn't so streaky I would have taken him over AK.
Odom does actually have a good 3 that he developed towards the end of the season. But AK has a good 3 shot as well.
I'd take AK for the defense, I like Odom and all but AK has a lot better defense and can do almost the same stuff on offense

This season both had 21 efficiency ratings...so it's pretty much between offense and defense.
Anrei is the winner here. He contributed to his team and had a great season. He has also established himself. Maybe if Kobe would stop ball hogging and give it to lamar he would be able to prove himself more. Plus lamar is a druggie...

The only person to blame for his lack of scoring is himself because he brings the ball and if he wants, can take more shots.
This is a pretty fair comparison here, imo. But I'll pick Andrei over Lamar for only one reason. Defense. Odom isnt a bad defender or anything, he's actually pretty decent. Kirilenko provides solid shot-blocking and great post defense. He just does everything well, like Lamar, but he's just a bit better defensively.
Are You Serious AK-47 could bb the best all around player in the NBA Lamar is a never gonna be who's afraid t ask Kobe for more shots
Odom #'s Last Season14.8 | RPG 9.2 | BPG 0.8 Kirilenko's #'s Last SeasonPPG 15.3 | RPG 8 | BPG 3.2 The #'s look the same. But AK-47 is better on D, and blocking shots.I would take Ak-47 hands down before Odom. The #'s are miss leading. AK-47 is better then Odom.
