Some loses feel like a kick in the nuts and others are more whateva'. I put tonight's loss in the latter camp except for the point you brought up. The Bulls lost because Noah missed like thirty rotations and caused all kinds of chaos on offense. I could really care less about that -- the Bulls ran into the same crap when Boozer came back. But WTF is up with the decision to play Asik all of one minute. Does giving minutes to Thomas help the team win now? How about in the playoffs? I mean, Christ, all I ask is that Thibodeau run the two of them like Brewer and Korver letting Thomas come off the bench first toward the end of the first quarter, and Asik start the second. There. How hard is that?
That's also Thibodeau's fault. I couldn't believe it when Thibodeau brought Korver in for a defensive possession at, what was it, 1:30 left. And of course the Raptors go right at him and immediately score. Every in the building knew that was going to happen.
Losses like this keep me from thinking this team is really a contender. Too many silly mistakes from coaches and players. Also, did anybody see Deng twist something and think, "There goes any chance to catch Miami or the C's..."
The Raptors are a perimeter-oriented team and not a particularly good one. They scored 58 points in the paint on us and that's not the whole story. They also made 32 FTs, most because we couldn't handle them inside. That's 90 points! However, we did a perfect job of stopping their 3-point shooting...kudos. Good grief, that sucked to watch.
I loved watching it! I just hate to see Jose get so many assists, thus making BC believe he is a proper PG. I still see the Bulls as a huge threat in the East, I mean - for us to beat you guys; we need to have one of our best games of the year. Still nice though, to win once and a while.
