The thing is, it's hard to trade for an all-star talent when they're having a great year. Guys who are as good as Wallace, whom are having off years, are EXACTLY whom we should be targeting with our expiring contracts. Guys have off years. It happens. Buy low, sell high.

    Oh well......

I'm disappointed, but I suppose there is no sense in getting upset. I have been saying for weeks that Cho is likely under orders to sit on his hands until the CBA issues are resolved. :sigh:

    Bobcats keeping Wallace?

The Portland Trail Blazers made an unsuccessful push to acquire Charlotte Bobcats forward Gerald Wallace, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

The Blazers ended their pursuit of Wallace after the Bobcats pulled back in talks. Bobcats owner Michael Jordan may have had “cold feet” about dealing Wallace, one source said.

Wallace has two years and $22 million left on his contract.

Sometimes with posters like RoyToy and MediocreMan, you just need to let them think they're right. They get so wrapped up in the agenda they have towards a player/coach/executive that it warps their logic.

    :biglaugh:

Kind of a sad reality, but it is what it is.

One thing that a smart person brought up to keep in mind about the Charlotte talks is that Larry miller and MJ are really close.

Ric Bucher was apparently on ESPN's First Take saying Oden for Wallace was on the table.

That was a misleading title. Check out the article. http://hangtime.blogs.nba.com/2011/02/24/blazers-deciding-to-pull-back/

It's "pull back" from possibly rebuilding.

    I think that's a worthwhile proposal.

Blazers like Gerald Wallace, but Bobcats want a better package than what Portland has offered. If one side caves, this could still get done

    Oden is another possible target.

This may be for the best. Especially if BROY can give us minutes. Joel moved better last night and I think his 12-15 minutes can be helpful. Wes can play enough SF (6.5" 220 vs 6.7 215) to give some minutes to Roy and Rudy at the 2.

Wallace would have been nice though, but 22 million is a lot for him.

I could be persuaded to like a package that included oden if Wallace and Augustin came back
