Ok lakersfan, game 4 was a bit iffy. But it was only one play, not a bunch of plays like tonight. The suns deserved to be punk'd for playing like idiots when they had the game.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (ArizonaFan @ Jun 19 2006, 01:03 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Yeah, I thanked the refs after Round 2. They really favored the Suns. Walton was stepping out of bounds too. They were saying they also could have caled that. There was something else too and then the possibility of a foul. Melo is a Lakers fan and he brought it up.</div>i also watched that replay and walton's foot was out of bounds before he grabbed the ball his foot goes back in bounds when he grabs the ball and the jumpball is called, and melo mightve been talking about game 1 when kobe got hit in the face going for a layup and there was no call and a 4 point switch and lakers lost. ehh but its done with i dont want to get worked up over this again im just going to forget about it,it in the past
I don't really care about that because the Suns won the series, but yeah they were also talking about Walton stepping out and Nash was mugged man. I saw the replay also, Walton was inbounds and when he went for the ball his foot went out. I saw a very good view on TV and the game commentators were talking about it.
I've seen pictures of Luke out of bounds when he ties up Nash, that is why i thought it was iffy. But that was one play, doesn't excuse the suns Choke job.And game 1 was a joke, so many bad calls.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Melo_061 @ Jun 19 2006, 01:07 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>And game 1 was a joke, so many bad calls.</div>yea there were bad calls going both ways in that game
You are probably right there Melo. Game 4's calls were a make-up for game 1 and the Lakers huge choke job was a make-up for the smaller Suns one. *wink*Gotta go to be, i'll be back in this thread tommorow
wade was fouled on that last play o yea but not by dirk by harris! lol i hate to admit it but he was fouled
Well than the backcourt violation was the screw up because that is what happened before he was fouled. Down to 3 screw ups in 9.1 seconds
Maybe, just maybe, it was actually the refs. Refs are human, they make mistakes. I think that anything "funny" is commited by the refs themselves. If anything, it's the refs that are rigging the NBA. Just about every ref favors certain teams and players.
It's all about the Money, and if not thatthe refs are not consistent. Guys, meet your new Jordan = Dwyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnneee WAAAAAAAAAAAADDDDDEEEEEE
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Heatfan32 @ Jun 19 2006, 03:44 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I can't believe you have actually sunk down to this level. Now always is your favorite team going to win, calls go both ways whether you like it or not. When your watching your favorite team play you don't notice or care if the other team doesn't get the calls there way. After this 1 game it seems all of you so-called "fans" are blaming the refs. The fact is calls will always go against your team, refs aren't robots and don't use replay or any other tool to make there calls. You have also resorted to blame David Stern, guess what he isn't the one making the calls in the game. I have never seen a series full of more stupid comments from the fans then this one, it's amazing how when a team loses the fingers automatically go to the referees.</div>Very good post, I agree. Calls go both ways. But, TRUST me all you Mavericks fans, you will win game 6, just based on calls alone. I don't think the NBA is rigged, I just think they overly favor the home team a lot. Dallas somehow gets like 10 retarded/questionable calls there way when they are at home. No doubt they will do it again. Hey, I hope I'm wrong and Miami takes it in 6, but Dallas will get the majority of the calls.
Yes, the NBA is rigged...thank god all 300 players and the hundreds of NBA personel are keeping this secret... Great real, this topic is ridiculous. :thumbdn1:
If games were rigged players and coaches would be calling it out and be crying foul...fans are just being overly critical and ridiculous.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (ArizonaFan @ Jun 19 2006, 02:58 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Heatfan, why would you say anything about the refs when the Mavs won by 10 or more the first two games?</div>Hahaha, I asked him the exact same thing in the other thread before I read this!<3<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BCB @ Jun 19 2006, 10:39 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>If games were rigged players and coaches would be calling it out and be crying foul...fans are just being overly critical and ridiculous.</div>Hi, I'm BCB, and I haven't heard an interview with Avery Johnson over the past few days!Edit: I don't think the NBA is "rigged" in that sense of the word, but as ReppinTheD said, it's all about the money.
I have not seen an interview with Avery Johnson because I don't care what he has to say. ESPN Radio had a 19 year veteran NBA ref on and he said that the notion that 'the NBA wants a game 7 and that the refs are told this' is completley wrong and unbelieveable. This coming from a guy that was ripping the ref's last night and the NBA...he said the NBA NEVER told him to alter how he was calling a game in order for a team to win.
I honestly cant decide whether I think its rigged or not. Overall I honestly dont think so. Sure this has been an amazing playoffs but there's bound to be one once in a while. Its not like this is happening year after year. I think this has just become an incredibly exciting playoffs and its not rigged. I mean if it was rigged Id think it would be like the Heat vs. Lakers or something that would bring in way more viewers than usual.

The NBA is not rigged....period. Almost every game is called fairly equal, and most games are called equal except a bad call towards the end of the game, which makes it seem like whole game was rigged.

And my god, even if it was a bad call late the Mavericks shouldn't have even been in that position in the first place if they would have grown some balls and gone inside they probably would have won.
