First the BLazers lose out on Harris who would have been such a great trade for us. Not to mention a solution at a position that has eluded us since Terry Porter. Then we hear "done deal" for Wallace only to get the harsh reality it was never done or close. Throw in a choke job vs the Lakers in a game that showed the Blazers have no finisher which brings us to Thursday morning where we have a 1 game lead for playoffs and no trade except a TJ FUCKING FORD rumor by John Canzano. Lovely. Things are looking great today.
if you arent depressed about - losing devin harris - losing gerald wallace - choking vs lakers - possibly adding ford then you are not a blazer fan
more salt to wound KBerg_CBS The Jonny Flynn deal with Houston involves either Jared Jeffries or Aaron Brooks, sources say. Teams discussing picks, too. Not done. we cant even do better then that for aaron brooks.
I won't type what I really want to type because a certain mod on here threatened to ban me if I did! So we'll just leave it at that. Great thread topic though.
The losing Harris & Wallace wouldn't be so bad if we hadn't had all this information indicating that we were thisclose to getting them. Twitter is causing depression.
So Flynn to the Rockets and Brooks to Minny? How many fucking PG's are going to get traded without Portland even sniffing one?
No Mixum, you are wrong. We WONT do better than that, not can't. We might have the most gun shy front office in the NBA
For those pissed about Flynn, who would Minny rather have off of our roster than Aaron Brooks? For those that wanted Aaron Brooks, who would Houston rather have off of our roster than Jonny Flynn? And would you be willing to give that player for either of those two? There are 30 teams in the league, and we're not always the best fit as a trade partner.
Portland's problem is that they refuse to offer fair value in these deals and other teams come in and get it done
I get the feeling that the organization is scared of doing any trade that might have short-term consequences on the season ticket sales. Small market thinking like that doesn't build a contender.
