The trigger-happy Rockets have redoubled their efforts to acquire Marcus Camby from Portland, sources say.

Posted this in the Camby to Dallas thread:

According to Ken Berger, the Rockets are firing on all cylinders to get Marcus Camby

Ken Berger: Camby has wanted all along to stay in Portland. But Houston, where he lives in offseason, is one of few places he'd go happily. NY is other. Twitter

Scenario is complicated because it could involve one or more pieces that would go to Minny for Jonny Flynn, i.e. Aaron Brooks.

This deal formulated too last minute. I just don't think there will be enough time to get it done. I'd love to have brooks, but I think Battier is aging and nowhere near he was a few years ago.

Patrick Patterson would be an interesting pickup.

Nic Batum being untouchable, according to Jquick, is probably a PA decision. It's gotta' be.

Teams can get an extension if they are in hot n heavy talks on a specific deal, iirc.

Agreed. We need a young big, not Battier.

Oh okay, well maybe this can get done then.

That would rock. I like Pattersons motor. It is always running, super agressive.

I remember everyone saying Morey was some kind of genius. I don't see it. He makes deals like it's NBA 2k11. Not impressed.
