ESPN just spent 20 minutes on the 5th-best player from the Celtics being traded for a player that OKC had no intention of re-signing.

Well OKC has been their golden team for a long time. But I do think that trade is actually the most significant trade of the deadline. That is the one that I see making the most impact through the playoffs. Portland made a trade and is probably still one and done. OKC made a trade that makes them legit along side San Antonio and LA if all works out.

ESPN doesn't waste their time with teams whose seasons are over.

I'm used to this about ESPN and their broadcasts. Blazers only make the news if we beat the Spurs, Lakers, or another playoff team and we'll get a highlight reel but it will only focus on like one play while the other team gets multiple coverage in the loss.

I don't mind flying under the radar. I don't look for validation from the media. We're not going to get it; we shouldn't care.

So very true. Even when the Blazers played a garbage team like the Clippers on TNT, the entire broadcast was devoted to highlights of Blake Griffin. LMA having a huge game was an afterthought until the postgame show, where he got a minute of two of conversation devoted to him.
