Aldridge. Foul trouble or injuries will be a problem, but I'd like to see a three man front court rotation of Camby, Aldridge and Wallace. The team does need to pick up a big body for those foul trouble nights or in case of injury, but when things are going okay, I hope he remains planted on the bench.
I suppose. I'd still like another big for foul trouble purposes and such. Especially with Camby coming back from a knee-injury and losing Dante who could get away with playing spot minutes at C.
Jeez, how many minutes is LA going to have to play on Friday if Camby doesn't play and Wallace hasn't cleared his physical yet?
That's what I said, yo. Also, mook made a good point elsewhere: Cunningham never really played center. He was always on the court with either Camby or Aldridge, who took the bigger player defensively. Regardless of what Cunningham was labeled, he wasn't truly playing center, he was playing power forward and Aldridge was making a de facto shift to center. Wallace will simply take Cunningham's place, except he's much better at it.
Hopefully Camby will stop what appears to be his pouting and will now go all in to help this team win some games. If he's not healthy, though, the Blazers are in a tough spot. Maybe Camby's staying here will be the placebo that makes him suddenly feel great.
Ken Berger of CBSSports.com confirms that Marks was traded to the Bobcats. http://www.blazersedge.com/2011/2/24/2013161/wojnarowski-gerald-wallace-traded-to-blazers
That rules out Canzano for having any inside sources whatsoever... since he didn't even know who was in the Wallace trade.
Re: Sean Marks is gone in trade too. Camby might be back by tomorrow. If not, time for a quick D-League contract.
