Camby takes Przy's spot, Wallace takes Cunningham's PF spot when LMA moves to center.

Then, in 30 days, Przy is back to take Marks' spot.

Celtics give Chris Johnson 10 day contract:

That leaves the Celtics frontcourt awfully thin for their game tonight against the Denver Nuggets, leading the team to call-up Chris Johnson from the NBA Development League's Dakota Wizards for a 10-day contract. Johnson, a 6-foot-11, 210-pound center out of LSU, is averaging 16.9 points, 9.6 rebounds and 2.8 blocks this season after previously being a part of the Celtics during this past training camp. We are very thin at C. Cunningham was playing a lot of C for us. If Camby gets hurt, what do we do? Start Aldridge at C and play him and Wallace for 48 minutes?

I wonder which big man, if any, are the Blazers looking at with their now open roster spots. We might have to take a look into the D-League. But Chris Johnson has been snatched by the Celtics, or so I've read. Who else is there?

He wasn't. As mook has pointed out, he always had Aldridge, Camby or Przybilla on the court with him. When Aldridge was on the court with him, Aldridge was the de facto center. Nothing has changed, as Wallace will simply take over that role, of playing power forward alongside center Aldridge. Wallace is just much better than Cunningham.

They are thin at center, but not due to losing Cunningham. They need a big body in case of injury, but if everyone's healthy and not in foul trouble, a three player front court rotation of Wallace, Aldridge and Camby should take care of all the PF/C minutes.

If Camby gets hurt, we have no center. Wallace and Aldridge have to play 48 minutes at PF and C. If Aldridge gets in foul trouble, Wallace is playing C and Batum is PF with no other options. We MUST sign another player.

Marks is a great guy, but not an NBA caliber player. Glad he's no longer on our roster.

But we traded all three backup Cs for a SF/PF. I'm glad we made the trade but it means we MUST sign another center by tomorrow. Will that guy be better than Marks?

LaMarcus will be playing both Center and Power Forward, for a total of 96 minutes.

We need to sign a big, pronto.

    STOP. CALLING. CUNNINGHAM. CENTER.

We traded two backup centers, and Marks barely counts as a center either. We do need another big. You don't have to keep calling Cunningham a center. We get it.
