Poor Cho. Larry Miller rushing in to capture all of the glory, and the Blazers then make someone in Seattle pass away so Nate can't be at the presser.

One may call it a diabolical plot.

Seriously, though, I think the Larry Miller/Michael Jordan relationship played a huge role in this trade.

As competive as a person MJ is. I'm sure he gives discounts to buddies when trading AS players.

I wish someone would have asked Miller about how it was negotiating with MJ and if their previous business relationship played any role in opening the lines of communication.

Pretty rude answer for a management type.

Wouldn't have cost him anything to say "hey we're sorry to see Sean go but Michael Jordan demanded he be included".

And if they had a secret conspiracy involving this trade and the eventual overthrow of the Little General David Stern.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Uncle Larry called up Jordan and said, "Look, Mike...Cho is a smart young lad with a bright future ahead of him. Think you could do me a personal favor and cut the kid a break? Obviously, he's in over his head and you're eating him alive, but it would really boost his confidence if you could, I don't know, toss Gerald Wallace into the Przybilla and two draft picks for nothing trade. What's that? Thanks, Mike. I really appreciate it. Oh, one last thing...don't tell Rich. He should feel like he earned this. *click* "

Jordan seems like the type to do other people favors in the field he's competing in. One thing that emerges from all the stories of his playing days was how generous of spirit he was when it came to everyone else in his basketball games, poker games and golf games.

Reminds me of my childhood at Boy Scout troop meetings. They still have father and son whittling teams. Good to learn the wood skills together.

After a tough nerd day, Cho can't talk. I've been there, in extreme focus doing accounting all day. At the end I'd be speaking in sentence fragments, no, in word fragments. I know where he's coming from. After many hours of intense quickness, his brain is working in short pulses like a computer.

Cho definitely does not sound like a used car salesman. That may work to his favor when dealing with other GM's.

True. He sounds like a nerd/borderline savant. Lower expectations, and see what you can gain.

Cho wasn't much in presentation, but he gave more than milquetoast answers in a few instances.

--He talked about his strategy of compiling assets. Why? For times like these.

--He talked about defensive and lineup versatility and then gave specific examples against teams.

KP was smoother (and I was a KP guy), but he never provided the meat in his answers that Cho did. I would have liked to see what KP and Cho could have done together; it seems they're yin and yang.

Katie Brown (I think thats her name) from Channel 2 asks the fuckin stupidest questions. She said, "since we don't really get a chance to watch you since you're on the East coast, can you tell us who you are".

Sorry, but she's always bugged me.

Only because you know that she's like that all the time. She's seriously the worst reporter I've ever seen, and that's not a girl thing... I've seen plenty of high quality female reporters... she just sucks.
