Brian Keselowski, who became one of the feel-good stories at the Daytona 500 after being pushed into the race by his brother, will attempt to qualify for Sunday's Sprint Cup race at Phoenix International Raceway.

The older brother of Penske Racing driver Brad Keselowski was skeptical he would be able to get the second car that was purchased from the old Evernham Racing inventory prepared in time to make the trip west. His Daytona car was involved in a 14-car wreck on Lap 29 and "was pretty much junk."

After working around the clock, Keselowski said the Phoenix car that Kasey Kahne won with at Charlotte in 2008 is ready and headed to Phoenix on the hauler.

"Still a lot of work to be done," Keselowski told ESPN.com Thursday, "but we need to run more to keep getting better."
