http://www.easports.com/nflheadcoach/index.jspThis new game by EA Sports. You play the role of the head coach. Looks pretty good.
Doesn't every game have this in the franchise part? Seems kinda boring to me, I've never really liked the coaching aspect of sports.
I've played the demo. For the past 3 or 4 days ago, I found myself debating wether I should get this game or Madden 07. I didn't wanna find myself ending up playing the same old gameplay in Madden like in 06 and beating it over and over in All-madden mode, so I'm gonna buy NFL Head Coach.NFL Head Coach demo...http://www.worthdownloading.com/download.p...id=1618&id=7805After you install it and says that it can't find a certain file, download this....http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?d3dx9_27

I don't know too much about football but if I was a hardcore football fan, I'd buy it.Now if it was NBA Head Coach... that's a totally different story.
Sounds boring, I like playing games...And it's EASports so it will be a dissapointment like all of their games.

I'm gonna buy this game tommorow, so I'll let you guys know how it is.
Isnt it like all other football games, except you can't play the games. in all other games you can draft players, sign free agents, and make trades. Plus you can call which plays you want to run in the huddle, i dont see the point of buying this when you can buy an actual footbal game and do all this, plus play the actual football games.
Yeah, this game sounds really boring, so all you do is just write up plays for your team and stuff? Not that exciting if you ask me.
Read the interview. In NFL Head Coach, the guy with the best football strategy wins, in Madden, the guy with the best thumbs win. I've already mastered Madden in all-madden mode and it just gets boring for me now. In NFL Head Coach, you really can't predict the outcome.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Strauser: Football is a very strategic game -- there's a clear start and stop point where you can call new plays. The way we represent that in the game is the game plan and the playbook. You're preparing that, choosing which plays you practice, which plays you bring to the game, which plays get called. But then you also deal with real time strategy and motivation with your team as the game is going on. The big change for NFL Head Coach is that the game is always running. If you choose to make subs or talk to players on sidelines and strategize, the game's happening in the background. You can actually turn your back on the game and miss a touchdown, either for or against your team. The coordinators will take over playcalling for you, but you realize how much coaches do on the sideline and in how many directions their attentions are being pulled. There's a lot going on on the sideline, a lot that I had never considered before.</div>Madden gameplay is the same every year and it's gonna get boring after a while, when I master the whole new running technique. And also, http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/sports/nflheadcoach/media.htmlWatch the NFL Head Coach Official Movie 4 for the breakdown of the game.
This actually looks like a really sweet game. I've heard of it for a while. But i'm not sure if i should get any more games for my PS2, because i'm planning on getting a WII eventually.

They'd have to really give a crash course on NBA coaching though, the plays in football are more well-known.I want to get this right now. I love second-guessing head coaches.
The way I see it your paying $40 to by the franchise mode on madden w/ probably a few extra features. IMO its probably a waste of money.
