He seems like a really nice guy, but he's got to be the worst broadcaster/interviewer. He's so spasmatic and goes off tangent all the time. Why did the Blazers hire this guy? Really not easy to watch.
+1. I'll give him time to get comfortable, but he stumbles all over himself too often. I don't watch much of pregame/halftime anyways, so it's not a big issue.
I disagree. I think he's doing a good job. Much better than the guy they had host previously (cant remember his name - Tony?) TP and Holton are great!
Your post inspired me to find out what happened to Luftman. He's a sideline reporter and studio host for the Grizzlies, who also happen to have Pete "Pra!" Pranica as their play-by-play announcer. Good God, what did the good people of Memphis do to deserve those two Blazer rejects? http://www.nba.com/grizzlies/about/broadcast_team-0506.html
He came to us from Memphis. He now lives down in LA and has been doing a bunch of acting on TV...... Desperate Houswives, 24 ,CSI. Was up here last month to visit, he is doing great down there!
I think Adam is great! This is probably his best performace........ got to the 6:30 mark! Pure genius! http://www.nba.com/blazers/tbtv/video.html?videoID=838
^ This. He is a mediocre broadcaster, but he just doesn't have much knowledge for basketball. He is an improvement over last year, though. That was brutal. I just don't really watch the half-time report anymore.
Besides for Michael Holton we seem to have new people every year. And now that he has moved to the sideline reporting and really knows his basketball "obviously", since he was a college coach, I think he will move on to bigger and better things in broadcasting. Does anyone know if the basketball analysis or the sideline reporting pays better? Rebecca Harlow sucked IMO, and she seemed to land a better job in a larger market.
