Dump Roy and his salary while you can. His career is over, he will never be the same, he can't run, he can't play with Miller, he can't play defense, he won't pass, he dominates the ball.....did I miss anything you dumb asses.

I disagree. I thought he was pretty clutch tonight.

Repped. Roy was great tonight. Clutch shots down the stretch, exactly what we have been missing.

While I like how Roy played tonight, perhaps we can wait until we see how swollen his knees are at 10am tomorrow before we anoint him WC Player of the Month for FebTober and call the world out. I would've expected Eric to make the OP, and I enjoy his better.

And when he can't play for the next game or two because of the abuse his knee took tonight, then what?

I'm not saying He's Back or anything, but I'm so relieved that he can give us 12-18 good minutes out there, and his Roy Is Clutch plays.

Then that's fine. He won a game for us tonight, one we couldn't have won without him. We can win others without him, but sometimes, we just need a miracle. It looks like whatever he can give us is generally going to be a positive.

And yeah, he may end up losing a game for us in the future. Oh well. New LMA has lost a game for us. But i think that Roy understands himself a little more now, and will not over-extend himself as much. And we're better prepared for him to be out a few games than we were in November.

Hey, I'm not saying he can't contribute, but I think the OPs hyperbole was a little ridiculous. I'm still waiting to see how his knees hold up. I'm glad to see he can still get by people, and he can obviously still score, but how will this kind of wear and tear affect him?

I did not say that. But you don't dump your best clutch player, because there may be a chance that is career is over. You make damn sure it is, before you trade him for shit, just to get out from his salary. And so far do any of us know for damn sure? I don't

I fucking loved the game tonight. Classic BRoy! I understand we don't want to ride the roller coaster with Brandon, but I just can't give up hope just yet.

Man, can't we put this petty crap away for even one night?

Roy was flat out amazing in his second game back. I have no idea how many minutes he can give us, but whatever it is, if he plays like tonight it's terrific.

His baseline is zero. Zero games, zero points, zero assists, zero rebounds. Anything above that is a bonus. if he misses games because of this win, so be it. I don't care. His baseline is zero. He'll be back in a couple of games and positively contribute then, and it will be a gift.

Obviously his career isn't over because he's still playing, but there's a chance it will be cut significantly short, and there's still questions about how his knees will limit his abilities. Should we be paying max money for a guy who might only be able to contribute 15 minutes a game for the rest of his career? Or every one in three games? I love what Roy has done for this franchise, and I think he still goes down as one of the best Blazers of all-time, but this team still has to look to the future, and if we start to see the Brandon that we saw earlier in the season again, it would be stupid for the team to hold onto him if they could shed his salary.
