Luke Babbit wont score 20 points 3 times in his career no less this season. Holy cow i dont know how that kid hasnt been waived yet! I really believe Sean MArks would have done a better job last night. The kid is a spaz out there, looking like a "special needs kid" playing against all americans. Just awful and embarrassing.

He played with effort last night... at least that's something. Actually, truth be told, I thought he played his BEST in a Blazer uniform last night so far... active without the ball, active on defense. He missed two wide open shots that had the crowd groaning, though. I agree, he's definately not NBA-ready yet, but I saw some flashes of potential there. He probably won't reach those in a Blazer uniform.

Anybody that says they saw anything promising in Babbit's play last night is deluded. He's Sean Marks awful.

KP got his revenge on the way out the door.

Babbitt is definitely in over his head, at least right now. If he could play, Nate would play him. There is a reason he doesn't. Still, he isn't going to get better sitting on the bench. The Blazers need to blow some team out so the kid can get some court time. But, yeah, I've been amazed from the beginning that we traded Martell to move up to get Babbitt. I hope he proves me wrong some day, and can become a serviceable bench player, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

It is behind retarded to make absolutes right now on any player thats age is under 30 on the blazers. Yea Babbit looked lost last night, played hard but was ineffective and defiantly had the deer in the headlights look but he is still a rookie who has played what 38 minutes TOTAL this season? Give him a little bit of a break until we actually get a decent sample size of him.

He's got Adam Morrison syndrome: too slow to guard threes, not strong enough to guard fours, slow release on his shot and his college game was based mostly on isolation sets. If he doesn't wash out in two years I'll be shocked.

It's probably gonna take a 2-3 seasons for Babbitt to get up to speed with the NBA game, and then I think he'll be a nice NBA player. It's not like he was taken in the top 5 or something. He mainly just needs confidence and some experience.

The question is, why wasn't he in the NBADL earlier in the season when we weren't hurting for bigs?

Go back and bump the thread when we basically traded Marty for him! I was right! This kid should be working at an IHOP not collecting a fat check from the NBA!

Nothing pissed me off more than when he caught the ball WIDE-OPEN out top or on the wing, and he kept hesitating, then attempting to put the ball on the floor (failed miserably every time). Every time he did this, I couldn't help but to be reminded of Bambi trying to walk on ice. The only thing I liked, really, was the shot that he missed from the right base-line from about 12-15 feet out. He missed it, but at least he shot it in rhythm and with confidence that time.

Oh, and for fuck's sake, can somebody PLEASE show that kid where he can get a fucking haircut!?

Of course it's got nothing to do with the season. It just means the Blazers probably have a busted pick on their hands. Nothing more, nothing less.

I think he'll probably make a nice reserve power forward in the adriatic league in a couple of years. Nothing wrong with that ... I just hope Cho can convince Allen to cut bait and get on with it as soon as possible.
