Earlier in the year I said 43 but now with 3-5 teams already at 32-33 Im thinking it will take 47. Thoughts? Im not sure how many more times (head to head) the suns, jazz, grizz, nuggets and blazers play. I know we are done with Suns, Nuggets and own tie breakers vs Suns and Jazz as of now. Nuggets we split. The grizz game could be huge in April as that would likely clinch us a playoff spot or seed assuming they are right there. We also get Utah in April to win the season series. Its in Utah though.

Our tough stretch is late March to early April. If we can get through that at 500. (stretch of games) then we should be fine as we have lots of leastern conference teams at home. Another huge trip for us is the ORL, MIA, CHA, ATL trip. Gotta go 2-2 there.

When this is all said and done.... i have had a horrible feeling that the road trip in late November will cost us playoffs. You simply cannot lose to nets and wiz... EVER!!!

Its hard to guess on a subject like this with so many of the teams in the playoffs having drastic changes. Memphis best scorer is out for a few more weeks. Utah/Denver have been completely revamped and Phoenix is an explosive scoring team that has little else. A win string by any of these teams or us completely changes the out look, but I don't see 3 of these 5 teams going on really long winning streaks so I'm gonna guess 8th seed will be around 43 to 44 wins and 7th seed will be 3 to 4 wins higher.

yah i kinda agree. i think the grizz have a brutal march. gay wont be back till april. the jazz will struggle as well. that team just doesnt fit well. no bench either.

suns i think sneak up and grab 8th seed.

Better Question would be how many more wins need to stay in 4th or 5th place?

    My answer about 80%.

Didn't Utah also lose to New Jersey, Philadelphia and Washington?

Anywho, as of right now the # to get the 8th seed (which since the season is over I'm not sure why we're talking about it) is 21, according to http://www.playoffstatus.com/nba/westernwinmagicnumbers.html

Although that doesn't reflect their win last night, nor Denvers loss. So I'd guess 20?

Actually, idiot, it does reflect last nights game.
