Need to get Gerald integrated into a few practices. Let's hope Nate draws up a few sets for him.

It seemed to me the Hawks were doubling LMA quite a bit. Unfortunately, the guys he kicked it out to had a bad shooting night. So the Hawks didn't have to guard the perimeter and just continued to sag.

I like that our guys didn't give up down the stretch and made things interesting...Props to Atlanta on their GREAT defense tonight!

Our final FG% is 39%, which is a lot higher than it "really" is. A few of those open threes go in, and we would have been in this game. There's really nothing to analyze....

Make more shots. That's all we need.

4-21 from three. I agree that if we were making those shots earlier it would have been a different game

Turn the volume down before you play it.

It's kinda scary, we're like a mini-Orlando, in that we play from our dominant post threat and work off three pointers that the inside out game creates. Once they knock down a few threes, everything opens up. When the three's aren't dropping, the opponents sag like crazy and the offense doesn't know what to do. I'm a bit wary since the Magic haven't been able to win anything even though Howard is a more dominating pivot than Aldridge. We'll see how far this team can go....

Portland has some great fans. The Charlotte arena is like 1/4 full every year we go there. Dead silent, he had to of loved being cheered like that!

This was worth the price of admission tonight. Got to see G. Wallace make his first points and defense rebound as a Blazer all within 10 secs, as well as his first ever three. Wish he would have shot more though.

No doubt. The RG was 1/4 full at the end of the game tonight and it was still Loud! lol

Just got back from the game. Haven't been to one in a few years and I noticed a few changes.

    1. Crowd was louder than last time, but last time was the weakest crowd ever and the crowd this time was 2/3 out the door by the 3:30 mark. :dunno:

    2. Music was decent and not cheesy, but less of it I think. More contests/giveaways. :ghoti:

    3. Sat in sec. 107 so we got free inflatable noisemaker/wavy things to disrupt the opponent's FT shooting. Atlanta made 24 of 27 at the line. :sigh:

    4. Refs were either high or really incompetent the first half all against us. About 6 crazy calls that pretty much decided the game when combined with a whole lot of off-balance shots from Rudy and Wes and Roy that just wouldn't drop.

    5. All 5 of our guards played excellent in your face D, but our entire front line got pushed around all night.

    6. Camby was stilted and slow as expected from being out.

    7. Andre was the best player on the court tonight.

    8. Patty Mills played at the end and immediately made it seem like a mistake not playing him sooner. :sherlock:

    9. Wallace seems like he'll fit.

    10. I found the 2 dozen pre-teen exotic dancers a bit disturbing.

The Jr. Blazer Dancers weren't dancing or dressed provocatively.. I've seen a lot worse.

Choke against the Lakers, pull one out against the Nugs, tank against the Hawks.

This season is turning into a bloody country and western song. Give us a little sliver of hope, then kick us in the nads. I am beginning to actively dislike this bunch of players more than I ever did the so-called jailblazers.

BTW. If there was any lingering question Nate needed to go, this game sealed the deal for me.

4-21 on threes? What kind of lazy, undisciplined, badly coached basketball is that? Can we PLEASE get a coach who can actually diagram a functional play?

You forgot the green font; so many of those threes were wide open, only to be missed by the shooter. The plays were fine; the players were not.

Exactly. How many 3 pointers did Jamaal Crawford make, and most of them were under much more pressure than the Blazer shooters were facing. It has nothing to do with the offense. It has to do with players concentrating and hitting their shots. The Blazers got plenty of good look last night but missed their shots. Then they doubled their jeapardy by not rebounding. A low shooting percentage plus a loss of the rebound war usually means a loss every time.

No, not really. No rational person would truly believe that. This is just another case of a poster trying to maintain a forum persona and trying way too hard to live up to his screen name. I'll never understand why anyone would ever try to have an online forum persona to supplement their "normal" life - but if you need any proof that this goes on then look no further than our own DJ Mixie.

OldManGrouch can't possibly believe 3/4ths of the stuff he gripes about. Heck, he's probably 36 pretending to be 56.

    OMG, OldManGrouch, OMG!

This is what lawyers call "an argument that proves too much."

If the team was getting wide open treys, if the Hawks were *giving* them wide open treys, and the shots weren't falling - what does that tell you? An offense that relies on players making shots that they can't make consistently is not an intelligent offense.
