Speculation is the Heat have to release a player to sign Mike Bibby. One of the players rumored to be released is Juwan Howard. Should we bring him back to help out with backup C duties?

Well, I'm not against the idea, but that's just another face that needs to be integrated into the lineup. I'd rather try to find another point guard because right now Rudy and Roy in the backcourt isn't working too well.

I'd be happy to see Juwan back and play 5-10 minutes a game.

Juwan would be a great pick-up at this point. He knows the players and the system and can play 4 and 5. We have two spots open, so signing him doesn't preclude signing a PG as well.

If we're going to do it, I hope we do it soon because this is the time to get everyone squared away so we have chemistry by the time playoffs roll around.

We should know by tomorrow since it's the last day for a player to be waived and be eligible for the playoffs. The TJ Ford buyout is still undecided.

I am all for going after Juwan. I heard we went after Earl Barron, but he decided to sign with Milwaukee instead. We need size and Juwan knows our system and could come in a play 8 minutes a game no problem.

Juwan Howard, who led us last year to 50 wins, makes his midrange shots, which is unusual on our roster. He plays two positions. Here is our ENTIRE roster. Would he help a great deal, even when Camby returns?

    C
    Marcus Camby

    PF
    LaMarcus Aldridge
    Luke Babbitt

    SF
    Gerald Wallace
    Nicolas Batum

    SG
    Wesley Matthews
    Rudy Fernandez
    Brandon Roy

    PG
    Andre Miller
    Patrick Mills
    Armon Johnson

He'd be a good practice player and for leadership, but I doubt he'd find playing time.
