http://blog.oregonlive.com/behindducksbeat/2011/03/oregon_football_ducks_confirm.html Oregon Ducks confirm they paid money to scouting services; say the payments were within NCAA rules
I don't know if the OP is being serious or not, but this isn't much of a smoking gun. Paying for background information on PSA's is okay by the NCAA. Paying someone to secure the PSA isn't. Oregon did the former not the later and they did it above board using University checks that they absolutely knew would be scrutinized. Cash is the currency of choice of cheaters STOMP
Wow. The headline and the first five paragraphs are slanted to imply wrongdoing. Then the entire rest of the article, IOW, the facts, paint a clear picture of no wrongdoing. I love journalism.
It's a good thing we're not BYU here, because if that's "going down", we'd be suspended. wait...that didn't make sense.
Sounds shady to me. Basically Oregon paid Will Lyles $25K to secure Seastrunk. That's what I take from it.
For anyone that thinks that $25K seems a bit too much I've read on other boards that there have been reports that there are some scouting services that charge up to $40K. The Ducks broke absolutely no rules. You'll probably get SC/OSU/UW fans saying "cheaters!!" but they're just bitter. There's nothing to hide.
