Allen Iverson, a great talent who won't be remembered for anything in the playoffs because his ownership and management never gave him the tools to win. Other than Dikembe Mutombo who was already in his early thirties Iverson has not had anthing great to work with. Nothing in free agency and some of the worst drafting from any team in the last 10 years. Shame. Kevin Garnett, he's had a few damn good players like Terrell Brandon for example but never anyone to help him in the post and nobody that has stayed in Minnesota for more than 3 years. Absolutly TERRIBLE drafting and then McHale trying to cheap the cap to sign JOE SMITH to an $85 million dollar deal...yeah...Kevin McHale has ruined KG who has been a loyal solider for the last decade in Minnesota, it's too damn bad management has screwed him and his career.

Haha, off of the top of my head, no one comes to mind. I read your list, and that about does it.Both listed in your post played for the same team their whole career. It's hard to tell think of others who had their career ruined and just stayed on one team. For Example, Reggie's wasn't ruined, he made it to the Finals, and had a pretty good supporting cast throughout his career. Karl Malone may have never won anything, but he had the a top notch side-kick in John Stockton and did come close a few times.Patrick Ewing never won it either, but he came close also. He had a sweet team with Moses Malone, Mo Cheeks, and Julius Erving early in his career.

I think you pretty much took all the names, I dont really think about how players get wrecked by the management, and if I had to think of some it would be only AI and KG.But thinking about it a bit more, I'd have to say one would be... nope, can't think of any! DAmnit

Steve Francis isn't really a greta player so he doesn't really fall in this category and this is basketball players lol not football also.

Allen Iverson's career hasn't been "ruined," as Heatfan said, but I guess I would say he has been held back and wasn't able to accomplish things I think he could have accomplished if he had an "average" management to work with.

Iverson I can see actually winning one eventually as a bit player. He'll have slowed down a bit like GP (although I don't think to that extent) but he seems like the "wily old veteran who hits the shot when you need it" kind of guy.

I like how the Sixer fans are saying AI situation is different than Garnett.

Do you ever add anything of substance Arya? For Allen Iverson it's no different than KG's situation. Terrible drafting, average FA's, players not sticking to the team....I see no difference.

Allen Iverson and Kevin Garnett are the main ones in today's game.

Def AI, and KG I think they should both play together to try to win a title. Philly has no players to get KG really. But Minny can get AI. I want both of them to get a title together both of them deserve it. Minny can trade Davis, Hassell, Griffen, and the 6th pick for AI.Then they can win a title together. It be a great story in the NBA I think.

The Kevin Garnett posts are spot-on. They go to the Western Conference Finals, and then experience some set backs. Since then, they have made absolutely no attempt to get any talent around him. Ricky Davis is a solid player, don't get me wrong, but I feel Wally Z was better made for that team.Trade Kevin Garnett!
