That was a short reign. I wonder if they gave Sting the title because of Hardy's impending legal issues.
I wonder this aswell. However if that is the case i would have much prefered it if they gave it to RVD instead of Sting.
I agree with ya on that one. I wonder if they gave it to him as incentive to come back? Who knows, people are shallow like that sometimes.
Jeff was arrested back on 9/11/09 (my 23rd birthday, haha) "on charges of trafficking in controlled prescription pills and possession of anabolic steroids, after a search of his house yielded 262 Vicodin prescription pills, 180 soma prescription pills, 555 milliliters of anabolic steroids, a residual amount of powder cocaine, and drug paraphernalia. Over a year later, the district attorney announced that Hardy would likely plead guilty to the charges, though the court hearing is still pending." Thank you, Wikipedia, for the quote. But yea, that's why. He's essentially in some deep, deep shit with the law.
Yea Hardy is in some pretty deep shit which is such a shame since he is starting to become such a huge superstar in TNA.
He really became a superstar over his last couple of years in WWE, when he got a nice main event push and won a few world titles over the course of his last couple years there.
Yea i remember that push in the WWE and the whole angle of "Triple H taking him under his wing". I still always felt that he would be a better fit in the TNA which is why i was happy when he signed with TNA.
I think he's a good fit in TNA because they have fewer big stars on that roster, allowing his star to shine brighter than the rest. His style also fits pretty well over there, since they have significantly more of the fast paced wrestlers on their roster. However though, I feel like he's got the talent where he could excel in any wrestling corporation, whether it be TNA, WWE, ROH or whatever.
