So yeah, Danny Ainge just was on WEEI, talking about the Finals, and the state of the Celtics, and the upcoming draft, and I just wanted to post a few points he made...*Ainge's Top 7 player list is not identical to mock draft lists on the internet i.e. there are players in the consensus projected Top 7 that he would not select if they fell to him. *He has spoken to Toronto about the #1 pick - Toronto wants a star player in return. *Thinks Tyrus Thomas will go no lower than #2 *Doesn't think that Jay Williams will be a good fit with the C's. Needs to get more athletic. *Al Jefferson has shed 10 pounds. Al is maturing and figuring it out. Hes doing things on his own, not just what coaches ask him to do. He looks happy and is understanding its a real job.*Ainge is a big fan of Morrison.*He thinks we will be better next year even if we just stay as we are. *Everyone is working hard. Lots of improvement. *Asked if he would draft Morrision if he was there at 7, he said "he would be hard to pass up."

Hmm... I think if they get Morrison Wally would have to be out the door. I was hoping they would sign Jay Will dang.

I was really hoping for Jay-Will as well, but I trust Danny in evaluating talent 100%, so if he says it's not the right fit, then I guess it's just not the right fit. But I still wish Jay lots of luck and I am still a big fan of his.

Ainge's top 7 guy isn't in the expected top 7. Hmmm? Ronnie Brewer? I also have read on RealGM that Ainge likes Rondo, so.. hmmm?? I guess we'll just have to wait 7 more days to find out!

Ainge wouldn't pass on Morrison if he was there at 7 - no brainer.

He says Thomas won't go lower than 2? Well, then that reported promise with the Bulls must be true.

WAY TO GO BIG AL!! Keep up the good work big fella.

that all seems pretty good on his part but didn't really explain that much. The thing I was shocked about was Jay Williams, everything seemed so positive about him from what I have heard, for the GM to say that he wouldn't be a good fit definately means he won't be wearing green anytime soon. I don't understand how he thinks we'll be better next year even if we stay as we are....?That's a questionable statement. We have Perk undergoing surgery...so then Raef LaFrentz and Dwayne Jones are going to be our big men if Perk doesn't come back right away? We need to make some roster move I think.

I'm not sure why everyone is on Jay Williams dick. Just because he was hurt and is all better and looked pretty good against a bunch of unathletic scrub players doesnt mean anything. I was one of the people who said this team doesnt need Jay Williams, and that he wouldnt fit in anyways.

i also said we don't need Williams.Very good news to hear about Al. It's very important that he's maturing, the losing 10 lbs. is just icing.
