I actually thought the Mavs played hard and that their inability to hit a shot cost them the title, but you know, God forbid that something basketball related actually affected the outcome of the series!

Maybe if you guys just shut up and played, you wouldve won. Instead you made excuses every 5 minutes that you got raped, and that the NBA is rigged. Just shut up and play.</div>When did the Mavericks complain aside from about Stack's suspension and Josh's timeout (which was probably the right call)? Cuban and Stern denied the "YOUR LEAGUE IS RIGGED" thing, so that is not applicable.

That's why people are pissed off, the officiating shouldn't have been this bad in the marquee event of the NBA season.People don't complain about bad officiating if it ends up being relatively even in the end. The fact that Miami appeared to get the benefit of the doubt on nearly every questionable call or non-call is probably the most infuriating thing about the series...

I think so too.If they focused on the next game, and not on the calls. i think the Mavs could of won game 6. And I am surpise that didnt use game 5 as a moditive to win game 6.

Well the mavs lost the popularity of the players too with all there whining, many players have been quoted saying sarcastically that they "feel so sorry for the mavs, they had to face so much adversity, the whole NBA front office was against them."

I'm a HUGE Mavs fan...but we shouldn't blame it all on the refs...Bad calls are made in every game, this series was no different...Calls always favor the stars because they earn that respect...this series was no different...No excuse for some of the mental mistakes we made...And the "complain about the refs" stuff probably did cost us this series...

Now there is an intelligent mavs fan, he looked at it from both point of views. Thank you for saying that BottomOfDaMapTX.

Just wondering, when did one of the Mavs' players make a single statement about this? I know Avery said something and Mark said a few things, but coaches do that and it's Cuban. The Mavs' players don't whine on the court like a bunch of teams out there (okay, just the Spurs, really).

the players werent complaining, it was mainly Cuban. Dallas blew it, the big name players choking (Nowitzki dissapeared in the 4th quarter of game 6), the awful decisions (Josh Howards timeout, anyone?) they didnt whine about it, they just blew a golden shot

Re: Mavs' whining paved way for Heat to take the title

Again, I feel the Mavs lost the series because of two things:-Inconsistency-Gameplan changesIn the first two games, they were forcing DWade to shoot jumpshots, and sometimes tripling Shaq off the ball. The remainder of the games, DWade was actually provoked to drive, and Shaq was facing single coverage off the ball. By no means am I saying this is all Avery's fault, as the Mavs missed a ton of open jumpers and Dwayne Wade was possesed by something, but they really played like a bunch of retards
